What are the most common types of WEEE waste?

Commercial WEEE waste types include;

  • Air conditioning appliances
  • Battery operated children’s toys
  • Computers
  • Medical devices
  • Phones
  • Smoke detectors
  • Thermostats
  • White goods

What are the regulations around WEEE?

Businesses and individuals have a duty of care to ensure that electrical waste is disposed of properly and safely. By not following waste regulations, you can receive a fine of up to £5000 and face prosecution.

You can find out more about WEEE regulations here.

Did you know that every year an estimated 2 million tonnes of WEEE items are discarded by householders and companies in the UK.*
