We work with many small businesses across Dorset to provide waste disposal services, whether you are looking for regular waste disposal or an ad hoc collection, we will have a solution that fits your business needs. In this article, we wanted to explain a bit more about how we help local small businesses and how we can support you!
Which small businesses and industries do we work with?
Every business in one way or another will need to dispose of waste, and as we are becoming more aware of the importance of recycling and reusing, it’s more vital than ever to dispose of waste correctly.
So the short answer to this question is we work with everyone and any industry! However, some of the more common small businesses and industries we work with include:
- Building firms & construction companies
- Facilities maintenance companies
- Manufacturing companies
- Tradespeople, inc electricians, plumbers, painters & decorators
- Car garages
- Offices & commercial premises
- Hotels, restaurants & cafes
- Cleaning companies
All of these businesses produce various different types of waste, from tyres and oils for the cars garages, to garden waste and inert for the building firms and hazardous waste for tradespeople and cleaners. Fortunately, we are fully licensed to accept all of these waste types and more.
What waste disposal options are available?
We have both drop-off and pick up options available at Commercial Recycling, the most popular being our waste drop off service at Canford Recycling Centre. Read on for more information about our disposal options:
Canford Recycling Centre – Our largest recycling centre, Canford accepts all waste types including mixed, plasterboard, hazardous (inc Asbestos) and green. Located just outside of Wimborne, we offer convenient opening hours (Mon-Fri 7am to 5:30pm & Saturday mornings), quick turnarounds thanks to our automated weighbridges, and provide competitive tipping prices. You can find our tipping price list here. We also have a separate inert facility at Canford allowing us to accept waste such as concrete, tarmac, hardcore, soil and many more.
Somerset Recycling Centre – This recycling centre, near Shepton Mallet accepts very similar waste types to Canford, with the exception of hazardous waste. Similarly, we operate convenient opening hours (Mon-Fri 7.30am to 5:00pm) meaning you can visit before you start work in the morning.
Orchard Farm Inert tipping centre – Our newest waste disposal site, Orchard Farm is located near Wincanton in Somerset and accepts all inert materials including, but not limited to rubble, sand, clay, chalk. You can tip full loads for £80 + VAT per load, making it very cost-effective.
Man & Van – If you can’t make it one of our disposal sites, we also have the option to collect the waste for you – this is particularly popular for businesses that create waste on a more one-off occasion, or less regularly so don’t have the transport suitable to bring it to us. Our Man & Van service is fully licensed to remove all waste types, and takes the job off your hands as our operators do everything for you… saving you money and time!
