Recycling Centre Frequently Asked Questions | Commercial Recycling

Commercial Recycling FAQs

Below is a list of some of the questions our recycling team is often asked. If you can’t see the question or answer you’re looking for, please do get in touch on 01202 579579.

We have two commercial recycling locations:

  • Our Canford site is open Mon-Fri 07:00-17:30 and Saturdays 07:00-12:00.
  • Southwood is open Mon-Fri 07:30-17:30.

This varies depending on the waste type and volume/weight of the waste. You can view our waste disposal prices for more information. We use automated weighbridges to calculate the amount of waste, so you only pay for what you actually need to dispose of.

You can pay onsite via credit card, debit card or cash.

We also offer nett monthly trade accounts for businesses looking to tip with us regularly.

Pretty much all commonly produced commercial wastes! This includes but is not limited to general mixed waste, recyclables, plasterboard, green waste, wood, inert / construction waste, mattresses, tyres, glass / windows, WEEE and hazardous waste.

If you are delivering your own waste for management at one of our facilities, you do not need to provide any paperwork. However, if you are a business or sole trader managing waste on someones else’s behalf, by law, you are required to have a Registered Waste Carrier License to dispose of waste at any commercial recycling facility.

Then, we will provide you with any other relevant paperwork that you may need such as a waste transfer note or hazardous waste consignment note. You can learn more in our guide to paperwork and licenses.
