How to dispose of oil
Waste oil is classified as hazardous. The most common waste oils are used for heating or in vehicles and machinery. Derived from petroleum oil, it can be harmful to the environment.
In order to reduce the risk of pollution, any waste oil or oil soaked rags must be correctly disposed of in accordance with current legislation.
If you are in possession of waste oil or materials contaminated with oils, it is your duty to take every step to ensure that the waste items are stored securely and transported safely to a licensed disposal facility.
