Hazardous and difficult waste can be threatening to the environment, animals and humans so must be disposed of properly.
Have you ever wondered what happens to the ‘difficult’ waste that you throw away?
Our Hazardous Waste brochure includes information about booking the disposal of hazardous waste, as well as a breakdown of the common difficult and hazardous wastes that are accepted at Commercial Recycling sites in Somerset and Dorset.
The brochure also highlights the journey hazardous wastes should go on from being produced to disposed of at licensed facility (such as Canford Recycling Centre).
All waste tyres that are brought to our site are stored safely and then transported to specialist facilities for the recycling process. Tyres are not classified as hazardous waste, but like all other wastes, the origin of the tyres must be declared when being disposed of.
We have tips in Dorset and Somerset that are licensed disposal facilities that allow users to recycle tyres.

Cost of tyre disposal
Our prices for disposing of tyres are calculated on a price per tyre basis, so costs will depend on the type/size of tyre. For example, large tractor tyres cost more to dispose of than trailer tyres.
For tipping rates please visit our ‘Prices’ webpage.
We can provide a ‘price per tonne’ disposal rate for businesses with larger numbers of tyres. To learn more please contact our team of experts on 01202 331560.
