Southwood Recycling Centre, managed by Commercial Recycling (Southern) Limited, accepts a wide range of hazardous waste. This includes but is not limited to chemical waste, contaminated materials, asbestos, electrical equipment, and paints. To check whether your hazardous waste(s) can be disposed of at our recycling facilities, please contact our team.

It is best to contact our dedicated team on 01749 830889 before arriving on site, so the required paperwork is started before you arrive. Doing this will speed up the entire process and provide an opportunity for our team to explain the process and answer any questions you may have.

Not really, as the site is licensed to accept large volumes of hazardous waste. However, we do strongly advise customers to contact our team with details of the volume and type of waste(s) needing to be disposed of before visiting the site. This allows our team to prepare and provide guidance (if required) on when to arrive and whether or not multiple visits to our site will be required.

Consignment notes are required for all hazardous wastes bought in by registered waste carriers. We apply a £50 charge for all Hazardous Waste consignment notes.
